Australia Awards In-PNG Scholarships help Papua New Guineans to gain tertiary qualifications in key areas identified by the Governments of Papua New Guinea and Australia. These scholarships are offered through selected institutions in PNG.
Nurses play a crucial role in strengthening healthcare services across Papua New Guinea. Through their training and dedication, they help deliver quality care in hospitals, clinics, and communities.
The Government of Australia in partnership with the Government of Papua New Guinea will offer scholarships to Grade 12 school leavers and current non-school leavers to undertake a three-year Diploma in General Nursing in 2026 at the following institutions:
- Lae School of Nursing
- Lutheran School of Nursing
This scholarship is for study in PNG only (not Australia).
It is open to women and men.
