Congratulations to the 26 participants who completed an Australia Awards Short Course and received a Certificate of Achievement in Mental Health.
The University of the Sunshine Coast delivered the Short Course to participants from across the country and from diverse sectors, including public health, education, and non-governmental organisations
The course aimed to strengthen PNG’s mental health response systems by equipping participants with skills in clinical assessment, data management, and referral processes. The program concluded with post-course mentoring, giving participants a chance to apply their learning and implement workplace projects designed to meet mental health challenges identified within their local communities.
