Human resources play a vital role in professional organisations’ critical planning and workforce development.
To develop skills and leadership in this key area, 24 participants from a range of sectors across Papua New Guinea attended a 12-week Human Resource management short course at the University of South Australia earlier this year, as part of the Australia Awards scholarships program.
Australia Awards Short Course Awards are short courses tailored to develop knowledge and skills, address priority human resource development areas and build partnerships and linkages between Australian organisations and partner organisations in Papua New Guinea. The PNG-Aus Partnership supports the Short Course Awards through Australia Awards for improved human capacity development in Papua New Guinea.
The short courses target leaders and professionals from the public service, private sector and civil society in Papua New Guinea.
